This course is for anyone who wants to develop their writing skills while thinking and learning about animals, the environment and conservation issues.

This intense weekend course will comprise of an introductory talk with the course tutors, an encounter day on Saturday 26 April where you will visit the pygmy hippos, tigers, seahorses and Komodo dragon exhibits within the Zoo, with an opportunity to speak with keepers and time to take notes. This will be followed by workshops to develop your writing skills through exercises and tutor feedback. Participants will be encouraged to develop and share their work.

Writers of poetry, prose and non-fiction are all welcome. The cost of the course includes two entries to ZSL London Zoo, the creative writing workshops and access to the Zoological Society of London Library.
