Many of the poems here explore the qualities of light, but here there is a new desire to approach the numinous, the legendary, the evidence of previous existences with humility and, as the poem says,’grace’.

Almost liturgical in its rhythms, this seems a salutary end to a lifetime of crafting careful, thoughtful lyrics.
