Gaga Lomidze Georgia
Gaga Lomidze graduated from the Tbilisi State
University in 1995 and completed his PhD at the
Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature.
Currently the Head of the Department of Literary
Studies and Comparative Literature at the Shota
Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature, he also
teaches Theory of Literature at the Tbilisi State
University.
He is President of the Georgian Comparative
Literature Association (GCLA) and a member of the
International Comparative Literature Association
(ICLA). The author of numerous critical articles
and scientific research papers, he is the translator
of six published books, and has collaborated in the
translation of two further books.
He is the co-author of the book A Short Introduction
to Georgian Literature [Georgische Literatur.
Einführung] (Pop Verlag, Ludwigsburg, 2016).
