From SASHA DUGDALE, poet & translator
'Of all the wonderful institutions mauled by these cuts in funding, ARC is perhaps the greatest loss to English-speaking poetry. ARC have published original translations of many of the world's leading poets and in doing so have prevented us from sinking into parochialism and islander-narrowmindedness. Their specialist work is done by no-one else in the UK, and if ARC falls another door to the outside world closes.'
