Translated poetry has constantly breathed new life into English-language poetry – and the ‘small’ poetry publishers play a great role in letting that breath in. Cutting off funding from publishers like Arc and Enitharmon, two of the UK’s most passionate and influential advocates for translated poetry, stifles
that breath. I too urge you to reverse your decision in future.
