I've learnt with consternation the news that Arc Publications might have their activities endangered because of lack of official financial support. For me, the work you do has let me get acquainted, through the English language, with many contemporary poets from distant countries that I should never have known otherwise. There are very few publishers who have endeavoured to make good international poetry reachable to people all over the world, and it's the kind of activity that should be supported to keep cultural values alive. I hope the Arts Council should review its decision.
