I have got a message that Arc Publications has lost its Arts Council Funding from 2012. On behalf of all Lithuanian authors – I dare to say this as I am sure my position represents their position as well – I am very concerned and worried about it. We’ve been collaborating with Arc Publications in many ways, Arc Publications has been a bridge for Lithuanian literature into Great Britain, it helped for our literatures to communicate. And not only for Lithuanian, for all East and Central European literatures as well, I should add. If there is any possibility to change the decision – please do it, let the Arc Publications keep their path and do what is so important for people of letters in our days. Without such initiatives – I mean wonderful work of Arc Publications – we might loose not only a couple of books but much more – belief in our common future.
